This website serves the purpose to search the combination of Redox Couples and Solvents (Currently 907) on the Solvent-Independent Unified Aqueous Reducity Scale. This can be done by either a Text Search via the name of the Substance or CAS No or via a Structure Search.
This website can also be used to search for electrochemical measurements. Currently there are 1583 Measurements included. For this purpose the site Measurements is recommended, but can also be achieved via the Substance Search or via The Search of the combination of Redox systems and Solvents.
If you are interested in further information about the Solvent-Independent Unified Aqueous Reducity scale, then check the PPM Page
If you have measurements, you don’t find on the website, we would highly appreciate it if you submitted them. Since we review every new submitted data, we kindly ask you to register before submitting, so we have the possibility for check backs.
Notice: This website is currently version 1.0 of the Database and still work in progress.
Current limitations:
- Since not every Substance on this website has a CAS Number from which the necessary information can be looked up by a script, some data is still populated by hand. Consequently, the following values might be missing for some substances:
- Computer readable Identifiers for Structure Search
- IUPAC Names
- Trivial Names
- Sum formulas
Hence, a substance may exist in the database but is not yet findable via all search methods.
- Pictures of substances are generated from computer-readable identifiers (SMILES/InChIs). As these tools are not yet fully optimized for metal-organic complexes, pictures of these might not fulfill expectations.
- Recommendation: Metal-organic complexes or salts are best found by searching for the sum formula or the ligand via substructure search.
- Measurements of solvent mixtures with a Liquid Junction potential are currently not displayed properly (none are currently in the database).
Future versions will include:
- Improved handling of the limitations mentioned above.
- CSV Upload for submitting multiple measurements at once.
